We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Lincoln. In this role you will complete basic accounting functions, including month-end close, consolidations, sales/use tax, and prepare, and analyze financial information and reports that provide summary information for management use in making financial decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Fixed asset accounting and audits
• Expense report accounting, tracking, and audits
• Prepare Parts and Tech bonus calculations
• Assist with treasury functions
• Prepare various daily, monthly, quarterly, or annual financial reports and statements including income statements, balance sheets, management reports, tax returns and reports for governmental regulatory agencies.
• Make necessary corrections and/or adjustments to receive accurate report information
• Examine accounting information contained in reports and exhibits and trace and reconcile unusual variances
• Perform complex account reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and strategic plans

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance discipline
• 3+ years accounting experience
• Proficient with accounting systems and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong understanding of financial concepts such as Budgets, Return on Investment (ROI), and Net Operating Return on Assets (NORA)
• Strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow, key financial ratios, internal controls, and disclosure and financial reporting requirements
• Strong computer skills with an in-depth knowledge of Excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
